🪲 Each plant is carefully treated against unwanted pests.

The Simbara, a plant originating from the Kapuas upstream of West Kalimantan, has adapted well to its environments in Kalimantan and Jakarta. This plant is characterized by its dominant color variation of pure white mixed with a hint of gray, giving it a unique and elegant appearance. The name "Simbara" was derived from the name of a king known for his handsome features and clean heart. This king was the first Kapuas King with the title of king of Sentarum, hailing from the Upper Kapuas area of West Kalimantan.

When it comes to caring for the Simbara plant, there are a few key considerations to keep in mind. Firstly, it thrives in bright, indirect light and should receive at least 12 hours of sunlight daily. Additionally, it is important to water the Simbara when the soil is almost completely dry to prevent overwatering. Providing a humidity environment for the plant can also help it thrive and maintain its optimal health.

Shipping

All plants are shipped with their roots wrapped in Sphagnum Moss, and plastic wrap to retain moisture for the root system. Foliage is then wrapped in a soft material, and then the whole plant is wrapped in isolation paper to secure the plant from movement in the box. Upon arrival to your home, check the roots for any signs of damage or rot. If rot appears, trim the affected roots with clean scissors or pruning shears, and plant into the new pot with the above specified growing media. We recommend waiting a day to water your new plant after repotting, as this will reduce the risk of root rot. Please note that yellowing or browning leaves could occur in transit.
