Philodendron Micans Variegated

🌿 Philodendron Micans Variegated | Premium Rare Variegated Philodendron for Sale in Canada

The Philodendron Micans Variegated is one of the most sought after velvet leaf philodendrons among collectors. Its heart shaped leaves have the soft, iridescent texture Micans is known for, marbled with salmon pink, peach, golden yellow and bright lime over deep velvety green. The plant in the photos is the exact plant you will receive.

Also known as Philodendron hederaceum Micans Variegata, this rare aroid can trail from a hanging basket or climb a moss pole, where the leaves grow larger and the colours really stand out. New leaves often open in glowing lime tones before deepening to dark green, so the plant keeps changing as it grows.

☀️ Care Guide

💡 Light: Bright, indirect light keeps the variegation strong. Avoid direct sun, which can burn the velvety leaves.

🪵 Substrate: Chunky, well draining aroid mix with bark, perlite and coco coir or sphagnum moss.

💧 Watering: Water when the top 2 to 3 cm of the mix is dry. Never let the roots sit in water.

💦 Humidity: 60% or higher is ideal, though it adapts well to normal household humidity.

🌡️ Temperature: 18 to 27°C (65 to 80°F). Keep away from cold drafts.

🌱 Fertilization: Balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength every 2 to 4 weeks during the growing season.

🍂 Yellowing leaves: An older leaf turning yellow is normal, especially while the plant adjusts to its new home. Several yellow leaves at once usually mean too much water.
