Alocasia Regal Shield Aurea is a breathtaking rare cultivar featuring dramatic shield-shaped leaves accented with bright golden variegation. The contrast between the deep green foliage and the vibrant aurea patterns creates a bold, luxurious look that stands out in any plant collection. This variety thrives in bright, indirect light to maintain its striking coloration, and the aurea variegation becomes even more defined as the plant matures.

Bright, indirect light is essential to preserve and enhance the golden variegation. Keep the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. High humidity (60–80%) is preferred for healthy growth. The ideal temperature range is 20–28°C, with protection from drafts or sudden temperature changes. Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix such as perlite, bark, and coco coir to prevent root rot. Feed monthly during the growing season with a diluted balanced fertilizer. Rotate the plant regularly for even growth, remove older leaves as new ones appear, and increase indirect light if the variegation becomes less visible.
