Bright, indirect light is essential to maintain the white variegation. Too little light can cause the plant to lose its variegation, while too much direct sunlight can burn the white parts of the leaves.
Water when the top 2-3 inches of soil feel dry. Overwatering can lead to root rot, especially since the white parts of the plant are more susceptible to damage.
• Use room-temperature water, and ensure the pot has proper drainage to prevent waterlogging.
3• High humidity (60% or more) is ideal. You can use a humidifier, mist the plant occasionally, or place it near other plants to maintain moisture levels.
• Keep the temperature between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Avoid placing it near cold drafts or heating vents, as drastic temperature changes can stress the plant.
4. Soil• Use a well-draining potting mix that retains some moisture but doesn’t stay soggy. A mix of peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark works well for aeration and drainage.
• During the growing season (spring and summer), feed the plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks. Be cautious not to over-fertilize, as too much nitrogen can reduce the variegation.
